Fox and Geese – Support

Something wrong, or a suggestion? Email info@plagens.dev and I’ll get back to you. It helps to say which device and iOS version you are on, and what you had done just before.

Common questions

How do I get the app?

Fox and Geese is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 18.6 or later).

How do I play?

The full rules are in the app: tap How to Play on the opening screen. In short, the geese try to surround the fox until it cannot move; the fox jumps geese to take them, and wins if the flock drops below four.

The geese always beat me.

That is the game rather than a fault in it: with good play the flock holds the advantage. Try playing the geese yourself, or lower the goose count. Nine geese make the flock’s task much harder than thirteen.

Why did my game end in a draw?

A fox that cannot be closed in on, and geese that cannot break through, is a draw. The app calls one when the same position occurs three times, when neither side changes anything for a long stretch, or when the geese go too long without tightening the trap.

Can I keep a game and come back to it?

Yes. A game in progress is saved automatically; Continue Game appears on the opening screen.

Does it need the internet?

No. The app never connects to anything and works in aeroplane mode. See the privacy policy for details.
