This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit plagens.dev. In short: this site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from third parties.

Hosting

This website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, the host necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser’s user agent, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. I have no access to this data and do not use it.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website. Because GitHub is based in the USA, data may be transferred to and processed there. For details, see the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Cookies, analytics, third parties

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. All styles, scripts and images are served from this domain; no fonts, scripts or other content are loaded from third parties.

Links to external sites (such as the App Store, LinkedIn or GitHub) only take effect when you click them. From then on, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your email address and the content of your message only to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or to the use of my apps, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise, based on my legitimate interest in answering inquiries. Your data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Emails are handled by Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) as my email provider.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • have your data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • have processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).
